Programme Educational Objectives (PEO)

  1. Demonstrate the continuity of advanced knowledge to solve problems in chemical engineering related fields or multi-disciplinary fields.
  2. Evaluate and make ethical decisions in any situations with or without limited information by considering social responsibilities and sustainability concept.

Programme Learning Outcomes (PLO)

  1. Demonstrate originality and independence in undertaking analytical and critical evaluation, as well as synthesis of complex information, specialized concepts, theories, methods and practice in chemical engineering field as the basis of research.
  2. Conduct standard and specialised research methods together with the application of practical skills using the latest tools or investigative techniques in the chemical engineering field of research.
  3. Communicate clearly in English the knowledge, skills and ideas as well as able to evaluate and provide a solid conclusion professionally and ethically using appropriate methods to peers, experts, and non-experts.
  4. Use a broad range of information, media and technology applications to support study by using the combination of numerical and graphical/visual data to demonstrate findings of the undertaken research work in the field of chemical engineering.
  5. Use competently suitable digital technologies, mathematical or statistical software to enhance chemical engineering study and research work by being able to design, analyse and evaluate numerical and/or graphical research data, qualitatively and/or quantitatively.
  6. Show substantial responsibility in planning, resource management, problem solving and managing work within own team and collaboratively with other teams especially in the context of complex application and unpredictable situations.
  7. Exemplify self-advancement through continuous academic development by attending scholarly activities related to the chemical engineering research area and/or entrepreneurial ventures.

Programme Learning Outcomes (PLO)

  1. Demonstrate comprehensive, systematic, integrated, new, complex and abstract idea of current critical issues in the most advanced frontiers of knowledge of chemical engineering field.
  2. Critically analyze, evaluate and synthesize new, complex ideas and, solve emerging contemporary issues by independently applying advanced research methods, analytical tools and skills to create and make substantial contribution of new knowledge, theories, novel solutions through original and independent research which satisfies peer reviews in the chemical engineering field.
  3. Demonstrate mastery of technical and scientific skills which is at the forefront in areas of specialization and to resolve new highly complex and emerging problems in chemical engineering field.
  4. Communicate effectively research findings to peers, scholarly communities and society at large in the chemical engineering field.
